Gatekeeper for MacOSX – more security

The Mac App Store is the safest place for users to get software for their Mac, but we also want to protect users when they get applications from other places. After a few attempt to spread malware and virus in the OS X a few weeks ago, Apple already take a few precaution and updates new security patches.

Now, Apple introduce the Gatekeeper, a new feature in OS X Mountain Lion that helps protect users from downloading and installing malicious software. This features will be introduce in the new OS X Mountain Lion.

This feature also come with the new Developer ID program. User able to signing the applications, plug-ins, and installer packages with a Developer ID certificate and the Gatekeeper will verify that they are not known malware and have not been tampered with. For the time being, this features available in the Mac Developer Program only.

Beware with phishing website of CIMB Clicks
